Humble Beginnings

The P.E.I. Sikh Association, a registered charitable organization, opened the first Gurudwara Sahib of the Province in 2019.

The Gurughar was started in a house.

With His blessings and with support from the ever-growing Sikh community in PEI, the association rented an office and turned a room into Sri Darbar Sahib. August 2022

Impact on Local Communities

The Punjabi community in PEI is thriving, and there is an urgent need for a permanent Gurudwara to support our growing community and facilitate independent organization of larger events and Samagams.

Our mission is clear: to establish PEI's first permanent Gurudwara. With a dedicated space, we will have the freedom and resources to organize events that cater to the needs of the Punjabi community in PEI. Additionally, it will provide a platform to showcase the richness of our traditions, fostering understanding, harmony, and cultural exchange with the wider community.
